DESCRIPTION:Business and technology leaders from the Wausau area will explore how companies outside Wisconsin's largest metropolitan areas are putting artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to work during the Tech Council's Thursday\, Oct. 15 luncheon at the WPS Powerhouse in Wausau. Panelists will include Felix Gallo\, founder of Towering Clouds\; Owen Jones\, chief executive officer and owner of Tommy Docks\; and Jen Nieuwenhuis Hardel\, president and owner of REI Engineering.The discussion will examine practical uses of AI and emerging technologies in areas such as manufacturing\, business operations\, workforce and product development. Panelists will also discuss the opportunities and challenges that come with adopting new technologies and how businesses in smaller communities can use those tools to remain competitive."Innovation is happening across Wisconsin\, and AI is giving businesses new ways to solve problems and compete\," said Maggie Brickerman\, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council. "This luncheon will highlight how Wausau-area leaders are putting these technologies to work." The luncheon will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the WPS Powerhouse in Wausau\, with registration\, networking and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with the panel discussion to follow.
