Benefits Analysis/Work Incentive Counseling: For job seekers with a disability, work incentives and benefits information are essential parts of getting and keeping a job. Understanding the options and possibilities can help them make an informed decision about going to work. Wide-ranging set of services intended to assist job seekers with questions or concerns regarding Social Security benefits, public benefits. These services address questions or concerns related to work and earnings and help consumers navigate benefit, entitlement, and economic assistance programs. Job Development and Preparation: Comprehensive set of services to assist job seekers in their efforts to plan for, seek, obtain, and maintain employment by matching interests, skills, and experience to business needs. Supported Employment: Intensive initial and ongoing support services provided to job seekers with the most significant disabilities for whom competitive, integrated community employment has not traditionally occurred to gain employment consistent with their unique strengths, abilities, and interests. Student Work Based Learning Services: Collaborative and interactive activities between transition aged youth and community employers to provide structured learning and employment experiences for students. These experiences focus on developing broad, transferable skills for postsecondary education and the workplace. Services may include, but are not limited to: o Identification of job goals and barriers to employment o Resume, Cover Letter, and Reference Development o Interview Practice o Accompanied or Unaccompanied Employer Job Shadows o Completion of Applications o Registration on job search sites o Outreach to potential employers regarding: Tax Credits Fidelity Bonding Training Accommodations o Onsite or Virtual Job Analysis o Identification, Modification, and Elimination of Environmental Barriers to Successful Employment o Aid in Assistive Technology or Rehabilitation Engineering Consultation Systematic Instruction/Job Coaching: The explicit teaching of specific job-related concepts or procedures in a highly structured and carefully sequenced manner. The instruction and coaching are based on detailed analysis of the employment position and the specific skills and needs of the individual working.
