The purpose of the Wausau/Central Wisconsin Convention & Visitors Bureau is to attract leisure and business travelers to the Wausau Area. We operate a Visitor Center which is open daily from 9am-5pm to answer questions, point people in the right direction, and provide information on the Wausau Area. The CVB drives economic benefits to local businesses, organizations, attractions, and events through sales and marketing efforts and cooperative opportunities. The Sports Authority is a function of the CVB and focuses on securing or developing major sports tournaments to be held in the Wausau Area including Badger State Games, the Wausau Marathon, Midwest Freeze Hockey Invitational and the Leinenkugel Pond Hockey Classic. The CVB is your source for fun things to doin the area and a resource for ways to grow your business.
