Where the Customer Stands Workshop
Where the Customer Stands Workshop
Wednesday, February 24, 2027 (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM) (CST)
Description

You know your business at a 10. Your customer meets it at a 1.
Tell me about your business in two sentences.
Harder than it sounds.
That's not because you don't know your business. It's because you know it too well. You've lived it for years. Your customer gets a few seconds.
That gap makes good marketing work harder than it should. Potential customers struggle to see what makes you different. Strong leads lose interest. Sales conversations take longer than they need to.
Before you invest in another marketing campaign, make sure your customers understand why they should choose you.
Ready? Name that business.
“Solutions that move your business forward.”
Can you name the business?
That’s where we’ll start.
Through a few quick rounds of Name That Business, you’ll start seeing your business the way your customers do.
Then you’ll put those lessons to work.
You won’t sit and listen for 3.5 hours. You’ll spend most of it making decisions about your own business.
What we’ll work through:
- Who are the customers you most want to win?
Not every customer is equally valuable. Pick the ones who bring you the most value. - What makes those customers start looking?
Find the problem that sends them searching for a business like yours. - What gets better when they choose you?
Spell out the outcome they actually care about. - Why should they choose your business?
Stack your approach, beliefs and proof into a reason to pick you.
5. Where do you have the strongest reason to win?
See what customers compare you against, what matters to them and where you stand apart.
Then we’ll go back to the two sentences you wrote at the start.
Same business. Different eyes.
What you’ll leave with:
- A priority customer and the problem that brings them to you
- A sharper picture of the outcome they want
- A value stack built on your strengths, approach and proof
- A comparison map showing where you want to compete
- Two practical tests to run back at the office: one with your team and one with your customers
You won’t leave with a perfect marketing message. And you won’t be handed another generic marketing formula.
You’ll leave knowing what that message needs to accomplish and how to find out if you’re getting it right.
Who should attend?
Business leaders, marketing directors and sales leaders at established businesses who are responsible for growth.
It’s especially valuable if you know your business does good work, but you’re finding it harder to attract the right customers or get the results you expect from your marketing.
You don’t need to be a marketing expert. You just need to be willing to look at your business from your customers perspective.
Your business makes perfect sense to you. Does it make sense to your customers?
Spend 3.5 hours working on the questions that decide who chooses your business, and why.
