The Continuous Improvement Specialist I assists the Continuous Improvement Manager in continuous improvement initiatives by working in various capacities to help design, develop and implement data-driven change and solutions to increase performance and efficiency while reducing waste, ensuring compliance, meeting stakeholder and business needs.

Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Identify potential targets for continuous improvement projects.
- Organize, facilitate and execute effective Gemba Walks and other observations of subject matter experts for the continuous improvement team and departmental leadership.
- Understand, apply and execute Lean-based strategies, methods and improvements to assigned projects and daily work.
- Create clear and accurate Process Maps of current and future process states.
- Manage 3M level projects (simple process improvements).
- Understand and apply root cause analytics and tools (with support).
- Monitor process performance and improvements in key metrics.
- Support the development of a “CI-culture” at Foundation Finance Company.
- Discuss tools, DMAIC methodology and other CI-based terms and techniques intelligently with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Other duties as assigned. Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; One year of process improvement experience using process improvement methodology OR combination of education and experience. Experience in operations monitoring and/or finance sector preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a minimum of intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet browsers such as Google Chrome.
Understanding of basic programming concepts, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Yellow Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma or proven equivalent experience. AGILE certification is preferred.
