JOB TITLE:                  Human Resources Specialist

REPORTS TO:             HR Manager


POSITION

DESCRIPTION:       Human Resources good work is guided by our core leadership competencies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Take Ownership

  • Complete and process all new hire paperwork and onboarding documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process weekly payroll, verify employee time cards, and coordinate with payroll team for timely and accurate information.
  • Track employee attendance and assist with processing time-off requests and related documentation.
  • Prepare employment verification letters and update personnel files for promotions, transfers, and separations.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date employee records.

Empower People

  • Assist in delivering orientation sessions and provide new hires with essential information about company policies, procedures, and ownership culture.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and general HR matters in a timely and professional manner.

Drive Collaboration

  • Coordinate and schedule hourly interviews by communicating with candidates and hiring team.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist the HR Generalist and Manager with tasks and projects as assigned.

Embrace Change



  • Manage hourly employee systems access, including password resets and key fob programming, to support technology and facility updates.
  • Support evolving HR processes by maintaining HR related training records and ensuring required forms are completed and filed.
  • Support HR Policy updates.

Deliver results 

  • Facilitate random drug-testing process in conjunction with the HR Generalist or Manager, in accordance with company policies while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ensure all onboarding, payroll, and employee documentation is processed accurately and on time.
  • Support compliance by maintaining complete and accurate files, forms, and HR training records.


 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Basic computer skills.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • General knowledge of a specialized field; equivalent to 2 years of college, business or technical school or applicable experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and establish relationships.
  • Strong ability to learn and utilize different systems and programs.
  • Well-demonstrated interpersonal skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS 

Work is performed in an office setting.

Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and fast moving machinery.
