The City of Wausau funded a significant portion of this project making a third Habitat Wausau affordable housing project possible in 2025. A ribbon cutting for the home will be held at 4pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025 with an open house from 4:15pm-6:00pm. The community is invited to tour the home and celebrate the completion of collaborative project. A short dedication ceremony will be held at 5:15pm.
Executive Director, Tiffany Arnold shared, “The completion of Home 76 marks an exciting milestone for Habitat for Humanity of Wausau and for the City of Wausau. By joining resources, expertise, and shared purpose, we created a new model for collaboration that increases access to affordable homeownership. We are proud to welcome this family home for the holidays and even more proud of what this partnership means for the future of housing in our community.”
Habitat for Humanity of Wausau is an Equal Opportunity Lender. Partner families purchase their homes through HFH Wausau’s zero-interest financing program. These long-term partnerships result in many successes, mortgage pay-offs, children headed to college, and second generations of families living in Habitat homes. Partner families attribute their Habitat Home as a source of financial stability.
When families have safe affordable housing, they can create their own success. Children who grow up in owned homes have improved grades, are more likely to graduate high school and 116% more likely to graduate college than children who grow up in rentals.
