WAUSAU, WI – Marathon County Crime Stoppers, established in 1992 to help stop, solve and prevent crime in our communities and schools, welcomes Luke Stachovak to the Board of Directors.

Luke, assistant principal at D.C. Everest Senior High School, joined Marathon County Crime Stoppers in January 2026 and also serves on the organization’s Education Committee. In this capacity, he brings decades of teaching and administrative experience to help grow our Campus Crime Stoppers program in local school districts and to build strong working relationships with school resource officers.

“As a school administrator, I am committed to fostering safe, supportive learning environments for students,” Luke said. “Serving on the Board of Directors for Marathon County Crime Stoppers allows me to strengthen the partnership between schools and the Crime Stoppers program by improving communication, collaboration, and awareness.”

Luke has taught math at John Muir Middle School, Wausau East High School, D.C. Everest Senior High and D.C. Everest Idea School, of which he was a founding member.

ABOUT MARATHON COUNTY CRIME STOPPERS

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is a civilian-run, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Established in 1992, we are committed to providing students and citizens with completely ANONYMOUS ways to report crime-tip information, thereby eliminating the fear of retaliation. Our top priority is the tipster’s anonymity and safety. Tips received through our P3Tips app, 24/7 tipline at 877-409-8777, and www.marathoncountycrimestoppers.org have helped law enforcement apprehend fugitives, felons and drug traffickers; recover weapons, drugs and stolen property; and solve crimes ranging from armed robberies, burglaries and retail thefts to child abuse/neglect, property damage and hit-and-run accidents. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
