Several members’ products nominated for Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin

WAUSAU — Seven products from members of the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce have been nominated in the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce’s Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest. These products are among the more than 100 nominees from around the state.

Voting in the competition will open on Monday, September 16 in a bracket-style tournament called Manufacturing Madness. During each of the rounds of the competition, the public is invited to vote once per day, per device at MadeInWis.com.

The Chamber members’ products nominated this year include:

• Custom Pressure Vessels - Bassett Mechanical, Kaukauna
• Cougar Paper – Domtar, Rothschild
• Structural Steel - Merrill Steel, Schofield
• Thorogood American Heritage 6” Tobacco Safety Toe Work Boot – Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill
• Steel Plate Girder Deck Bridge - Veritas Steel LLC, Wausau
• Wine, Beer and Spirits Labels - Wausau Coated Products Inc, Wausau
• Textured Granite Custom Architectural Pavers - Wausau Tile Inc, Rothschild

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce and Johnson Financial Group have partnered for the ninth time in 2024 to determine the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin. The competition aims to highlight the state’s vibrant manufacturing industry. The contest not only brings attention to all the cool things made in Wisconsin, but also the outstanding career opportunities available in manufacturing – an industry that employs one in six people in the state.
