Winning foursome named at Chamber’s annual Golf Outing

SCHOFIELD — The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce held its 34th annual golf outing on Monday, June 24 at the Wausau Country Club. More than 160 golfers participated in the 18-hole scramble. Lunch, beverages, contests and a reception buffet were included at the outing. Dozens of photos from the event can be found on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

 "Participating in the Golf Outing isn't just about sinking putts and enjoying the fairways; it's about strengthening community bonds and fostering business relationships," said Andrew Hale, Business Development Executive with The Dirks Group. "Our involvement underscores our commitment to local partnerships and the vibrant spirit of Wausau."

The K-tech Kleening Systems team made up of Mike Erdman, Chad Gilbertson, Craig Kersemeier and Scott Klemm won the best ball competition with a 12 under par score of 60.

A number of other golfers were recognized for their achievements on specific holes and several raffle drawings were held at the reception which followed the outing.

The Dirks Group was the presenting sponsor, Aspirus Health Plan, Ho-Chunk Gaming - Wittenberg and Security Health Plan of Wisconsin Inc were the platinum sponsors. Granite Peak Ski Area, NorthStar Restoration Services and Rennes Health & Rehab Center - Weston were the gold sponsors for the event.
